Wow, he sure showed China who’s boss 🤡

AND the stock market ROARS BACK to… 80% of previous baseline. O the winning!

[email protected] on 12 May 08:34 next collapse

So what has changed from before all of this? What have they agreed to that makes this all worth while?

[email protected] on 12 May 10:13 next collapse

A 90 day truce while China accepts 30% US tariffs for that time.

[email protected] on 12 May 19:18 collapse
  • US put up tariffs
  • Chine put them up in response
  • They now both drop them for 90 days

Nothing has been achieved.

What goal are we closer to? What does Trump want to get out of these negotiations?

[email protected] on 13 May 00:04 collapse

He’s on video congratulating people like Charles Schwab making 2.5 billion dollars from his constantly changing tariffs, so…

Probably that. Occam’s razor and all

Well, there was a little bit of Insider Trading, so fortunes were made… Oh, you mean worth while for the Country? There was nothing gained, nothing. But a lot was lost…

This is what y’all came for:

the US will lower tariffs on Chinese goods to 30 per cent from 145 per cent and China will reduce duties on US imports to 10 per cent from 125 per cent.

[email protected] on 12 May 15:31 collapse

For those not aware. Duties are apparently any kind of tax that may be levied on imports (could be anti-dumping fees, etc.) while tariffs are just import taxes.

[email protected] on 12 May 09:13 next collapse

Oh goodie! It's all better now that we'll only have to pay an arbitrary 30% more for goods from China! Whew, glad they saved the day! Long live fascicapitalism!

For now, so far trump always chicken out (TACO)

[email protected] on 12 May 10:14 next collapse

Like honestly I’m mad about this and idk why. Like I know the tariffs were ass fucking backwards stupid and would likely cost me my job. I know Trump is a spineless piece of shit conman croward. But come on. All this fucking bark, and and we got what like 2 days of actual tariffs being levied and he backs off? Like I wish the piece of shit and his whole admin would die so very very very painfully, and yet he is able to disappoint me?

I know i should feel grateful, so yay for not totally fucking up the economy for next 90 days, hopefully, you spineless rotting cumstain

[email protected] on 12 May 14:32 collapse

Don’t worry. The economy is still going to get fucked up but at least there is an end date on it.

But let’s be real. It’s not over.

Fake trade war was 'solved' to still impose more import taxes on the US consumer.
These people couldn't negotiate their way out of a plastic, sealed, bag.

[email protected] on 12 May 10:50 next collapse

Now it’s up to the justice department to obtain details about shorts made prior to the tariff war and investments made prior to the reconciliation so they can prosecute anybody who performed blatant market manipulation.

The facepalm admin

[email protected] on 12 May 14:43 next collapse

You mean the USA capitulated to the one and only demand China had. And now we are back where we werr before the trade war started, but in a much worse position.

Trump, the pump and dump president

[email protected] on 13 May 06:59 collapse

Yes, but he gets to claim victory.

[email protected] on 12 May 21:24 next collapse

Regardless of any outcome, Drumpf was always going to claim a resounding victory.
